Your Role: The Scanning Lead will ensure products are priced and displayed properly throughout the store. Assist with correcting issues with pricing and active advertising programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure accurate pricing is displayed on the shelf and display locations throughout the store.
- Process batches and verify pricing for advertised sales and other promotions.
- Ensure current ad signs are displayed in a timely manner, while ensuring expired signage is removed before start of the business day following the date of expiration.
- Assist Pricebook by notifying discrepancies and providing information necessary to resolve issues.
- Audits pricing throughout entire store twice each year.
- Inform store manager of any pricing discrepancies or pricing issues.
- Follows all safety standards and rules.
- Completed all required training within specified deadlines.
- May be called upon to perform additional tasks and duties as requested by the Store Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school degree, equivalent, or two to three years of relevant experience.
- Basic math skills are necessary.
- Must be able to read and apply company procedure documents.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to greet customers and provide information in an accurate and courteous manner.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks accurately and courteously.
- Must be able to complete company-sponsored training and required updates within specified training periods.
- Excellent planning skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds throughout a normal shift, moving and stacking merchandise, cleaning, sweeping, shoveling snow.
- Ability to plan projects effectively.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Ability to learn and retain products, and product locations throughout the store.
- Ability to work in commercial refrigerators and freezers.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work inside coolers to maintain inventory.
- Ability to ascend and descend a five-foot step ladder safely.
