SCANNING LEAD

Responsibilities

Your Role: The Scanning Lead will ensure products are priced and displayed properly throughout the store.  Assist with correcting issues with pricing and active advertising programs.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate pricing is displayed on the shelf and display locations throughout the store.
  • Process batches and verify pricing for advertised sales and other promotions.
  • Ensure current ad signs are displayed in a timely manner, while ensuring expired signage is removed before start of the business day following the date of expiration.
  • Assist Pricebook by notifying discrepancies and providing information necessary to resolve issues.
  • Audits pricing throughout entire store twice each year.
  • Inform store manager of any pricing discrepancies or pricing issues.
  • Follows all safety standards and rules.
  • Completed all required training within specified deadlines.
  • May be called upon to perform additional tasks and duties as requested by the Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school degree, equivalent, or two to three years of relevant experience.
  • Basic math skills are necessary.
  • Must be able to read and apply company procedure documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to greet customers and provide information in an accurate and courteous manner.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks accurately and courteously.
  • Must be able to complete company-sponsored training and required updates within specified training periods.
  • Excellent planning skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds throughout a normal shift, moving and stacking merchandise, cleaning, sweeping, shoveling snow.
  • Ability to plan projects effectively.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to learn and retain products, and product locations throughout the store.
  • Ability to work in commercial refrigerators and freezers.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work inside coolers to maintain inventory.
  • Ability to ascend and descend a five-foot step ladder safely.
