Our IS&T (Information Services and Technology) department provides all the required technology and operational support services to run our business here in BMC! We have over 200 servers on premises to support production, disaster recovery, databases, applications and over 1000 servers in Lab environment. IS&T is transformational not only for BMC but also for the customer experience, because we give a 360 degrees view to the customer about the products they should know, opportunities in the pipeline, and any service issues outstanding with the customer. We use cutting-edge technologies to manage BMC's infrastructure and showcase it to the customers – program is called BMC on BMC! We are building a new ServiceOps team that combines Service Desk and Network Operations Center (NOC) capabilities. As a Technical Support Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end IT support and proactive monitoring of infrastructure, network, and applications. This role demands strong troubleshooting skills, customer focus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
• Provide L1/L2 IT support via phone, email, chat, and ticketing tools. • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows/macOS, Office 365, VPN, and MDM. • Install, configure, and maintain hardware/software for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. • Administer Active Directory and participate in onboarding/offboarding. • Proactively monitor IT infrastructure, network, and applications using tools like BMC Helix Operation Manager, Netreo, Entuity, APM. • Perform L1 troubleshooting and escalate as needed. • Initiate and manage crisis calls during major incidents or outages. • Ensure adherence to ITIL-aligned processes and maintain accurate records in ITSM systems. • Contribute to knowledge base and identify automation opportunities.
Additional Information Shift: 24x7 rotational shifts including weekends and holidays. Transport: Pick and drop facility provided.
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in IT Service Desk or NOC operations.
- Graduate in any discipline (Engineering or IT preferred).
- Proficiency in Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, VPN, and MDM platforms.
- Basic networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
- Experience working with any enterprise observability / monitoring tools .
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
- CCNA certification (good to have).
- Exposure to EDR tools like CrowdStrike, SentinelOne.
- Awareness of Zero Trust Security principles and IAM.
- Hands-on experience with automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Familiarity with AI-based ticket triaging and self-service portals.
