Description

Brescia University, a small Catholic Liberal Arts University located in Kentucky is searching for a director to help develop a new M.S. in PA Assistant Program. The director will provide oversight and will support an integrated programmatic approach while furthering the University's mission and goals. In addition to the administrative responsibilities, this is 12-month full time faculty member teaching 3-6 hours each semester. The qualifications for this position are:

  • Graduate of accredited PA Program
  • Master's degree in an applicable field, Doctoral degree is preferred
  • Current PA license or eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky
  • Current certification or emeritus status as a PA-C by the NCCPA
  • Minimum 3 years of full-time higher education experience; preferably within a PA program as principal faculty and/or as an administrative appointment within PA program leadership
  • Minimum 2 years of PA clinical practice experience
  • Experience providing effective leadership, ARC-PA accreditation process knowledge is preferred

The position responsibilities include full program development of a new M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies program including program organization, program administration, fiscal management of the program, continuous programmatic review and analysis, program planning, program and curriculum development and assessment (both didactic and clinical phases), completion of ARC-PA required documents and adherence to the standards and ARC-PA policies. Additionally, this position will supervise and oversee recruitment and retention of program personnel including the PA Program Medical Director, Principal and Instructional Faculty, and program staff.

The Program Director must provide effective leadership by exhibiting strong communication, organizational, proactive problem-solving skills, and responsiveness to personnel related issues.
