We have a challenging opportunity for a Supervisor Customer Care – Customer Care Operations based out of our NYC office.
Starting Salary: 85k+
Job Summary:
The Customer Care Supervisor is responsible for providing their team with support for the hands on customer care operations, prompt, effective transportation, clearance, import, export and routing of both domestic and international parcels in accordance with proper procedures for BGS customers. This position requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink's and its customers and in armored vehicles in transit, as well as the safety of persons on the premises of Brink's and its customers, including armored vehicles. This is a multi-faceted position that encompasses both customer care as well as in the field operations at our JFK Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Regional Supervisors and Managers for internal inquiries and concerns
- Oversee the daily management of the Transportation and Sr. Transportation Coordinators to ensure an efficient and productive work environment
- Develop and foster strategic relationships with Branch General Managers and Operations Managers in the BGS and CIT organization
- Work closely with Customer Care Operations Supervisor and the Customer Facing Supervisor to implement successful operational and customer experience strategies
- Work closely with BGS Operations supervisors to collect critical shipment information
- Generate operational reports and manage KPIs set for the team
- Implement and run daily management programs and daily huddles
- Handle service concerns diplomatically, channeling complaints to other appropriate management as needed.
- Determine and secure paperwork required for all international moves, including (but not limited to) commercial invoices, special customs paperwork, etc.
- Respond to inquiries regarding the status of items in transit through our system from management.
- Work closely with other members of the department and internal management to ensure the appropriate completion and distribution of the workload and maintain a high quality of service to the customers via time efficient and effective response to voice mails, e-mails, and phone calls and by always ensuring that each customer is treated with the utmost respect and consideration.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Customer Service and Operations with a concentration in logistics & supply chain or related field or internal BGS experience of a similar nature.
- Minimum of 3 year of experience using MS Office and Windows applications
- Must be 21 years or older
- Able to work weekends, holidays and/or extended hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience in a fast paced high volume Commodities department for an air freight forwarder.
- More than 3 years of experience servicing customers in the transportation/logistics industry as a coordinator, shipment router or other similarly situated air freight forwarding professional.
- Good basic math and interpersonal skills
- Transferrable internal BGS experience in an Exports, Customer Service or other Operational position with working knowledge of BITS, ATLAS and GARCIA.
