Description

Brinks seeks a Finance Manager to join the North American FP&A team based in Coppell, Texas to lead planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, as well as segment and country-level financial analyses. It is a unique opportunity with a broad scope to partner with senior leadership, own and implement core financial management processes, and drive business improvement. This person will support multiple VP/Directors and work closely with North America business leaders to craft financial outlook and guidance for Brink's North America. The ideal candidate will be strategic, analytical, solution oriented and have a demonstrated ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, financial analysis, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The role operates in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment and will provide decision support and advice for key business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key resource leading the total North American In-Year financial planning process (i.e., annual operating plan, bi-weekly/monthly forecasting and outlining financial risks and opportunities).
  • Utilizing solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interoperate data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders.
  • Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.
  • Intuitively utilize active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting your style based on audience, to articulate complex finance issues.
  • Collecting and analyzing quantitative data to develop relevant reports leading to performance management across core operating functions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or quantitative field
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • Experience with ERP systems and planning and consolidation tools; including, PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle, HFM, Hyperion Essbase, and SmartView
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence peers, subordinates, executive management and stakeholders 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and/or SQL
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • Experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • Experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
  • Experience mentoring junior finance or business team members
  • Knowledgeable of the accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
