Summary

The Centralized Scheduling Manager plays a critical role managing the scheduling functions to ensure efficient and coordinated utilization of resources. The Centralized Scheduling Manager oversees the Centralized Scheduling department and functions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Develop and implement a centralized scheduling strategy to enhance operational efficiency and ensure a seamless workflow across various departments.
  • Develop training materials for Centralized Schedulers for on-the-job training.
  • Supervise and lead a team of schedulers providing guidance, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Oversee the coordination and administration of schedule changes, attendance call outs, leave reporting, assigning seniority in accordance with collective bargaining agreements, company policies and labor laws.
  • Continuously assess scheduling processes and implement improvements to increase accuracy, reduce conflicts, and streamline operations.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to ensure optimum coverage and staffing levels.
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with department heads, managers and key stakeholders to understand their scheduling needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Utilize data and analytics tools to monitor scheduling performance, track key performance indicators, and make data-driven decisions to improve scheduling efficiency.
  • Ensure that scheduling practices comply with regulations, collective bargaining unit agreements and organizational policies.
  • Generate regular reports on scheduling performance and present findings and recommendations to management.
  • Assist in the development and management of the scheduling department's budget.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 2 Employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws to include training employees, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, and addressing complaints and disciplinary problems.

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Three years related experience and/or training; Bachelor's Degree (B.A.); or equivalent combination of experience and education. Must have experience with UKG WFM/Dimensions and Virtual Roster.

 

Computer Skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must have prior experience using UKG Pro, UKG WFM/Dimensions, and Virtual Roster.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, mathematical or schedule form.

 

Age Requirement

Must be at least 21 years of age.
