JOB PURPOSE

The Business Systems Administrator serves as the system owner for a number of business systems other than financial and HR systems. These systems include the Service Desk and other IT and general business systems. The Business Systems Admin oversees the daily operation of these systems, assisting with the design, implementation, access controls, and continuous improvement cycle with the business and service owners. The Business Systems Admin collaborates with other systems administrators to facilitate and improve workflow, increase reliability, and decrease business risk.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with various business and service owners to evaluate system needs and design new or modify the system to meet changing business requirements.
  • Reviews the architecture of the current system and works with business and technical staff to recommend solutions that result in more effective systems
  • Reviews new technology and processes to determine feasibility with existing systems; prepares data flow diagrams and process flow analyses for current and new automation to ensure maximum system utilization.
  • Coordinates with vendors, internal technical staff, management, and system users for the development of documentation and implementation of training and procedures for new systems and programs.
  • Leads and/or participates in design discussions to define user requirements and translate them to solutions, advises users on best practices and cross functional dependencies.
  • Analyzes data flow, processes, and configurations to recommend enhancements that will increase quality and efficiency.
  • Provides escalated troubleshooting support to customers, as needed.
  • Supports the deployment and testing of configuration changes.
  • Manage projects such as complex enterprise application upgrades, and configurations.
  • Performs general data migration and ETL functions as needed.
  • Conducts system audits, as well as deliver accurate reports and data analysis.
  • Coordinates with relevant groups to ensure proper access controls, security settings, permissions, and data security are in place to protect staff and the company.
  • Aids in the process of maintaining and improving data quality and accuracy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years proven experience in system administration
  • 1+ years experience managing Freshservice tenant for MSPs or equivalent experience
  • Adherence to best practices for change management
  • Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of workbook.
  • Good working knowledge of SQL and ETL methods and tools, as needed

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the responsibilities of this position, the work environment characteristics listed below are representative of the environment the employee will encounter:

  • Usual office working conditions.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • No physical exertion required.
  • Travel within or outside of state.
  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.

 

 

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

 

 

EVALUATION

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Charter Schools USA's policy.
