Description

JOB PURPOSE

Provides support to the development and implementation of compensation practices that support the organization's business objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with administering employer compensation programs including base pay, long and short-term incentives, bonuses, and stipends.
  • Participates in compensation surveys, conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
  • Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed timely.
  • Evaluates and classifies jobs and maintains new job descriptions.
  • Advises managers on making effective pay decisions that comply with compensation policy and budgetary guidelines.
  • Assist with designing and communicating pay structures, grades, compensation budgets, and guidelines.
  • Recommends modifications to compensation practices as appropriate.
  • Maintain the company's pay structure.
  • Assist with creating communication for internal customers to promote clarity and reinforce the value of compensation programs.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Conducts compensation ad hoc analysis on an ongoing basis, as necessary.
  • Collaborates with internal clients across the organization to identify and resolve compensation-related initiatives and issues.
  • Researches and evaluates new/changing compensation practices and partners with Talent Acquisition to support the organization's objective of attracting and retaining.
  • Monitors compliance with changes in applicable laws.
  • Collects and reports data requested for compensation and other HR-related metrics/dashboards, as required.
  • Approve salary for requisitions in ADP-RM.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  1. Detail-oriented, able to multitask, work on a team as well as independently.
  2. Strong organizational skills and the ability to bring processes through to completion.
  3. Strong analytics aptitude.
  4. High level of comfort with Microsoft Office suite, particularly with the use of Excel.
  5. Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  8. Must have the ability to effectively and efficiently work with changing priorities.
  9. Familiarity with HRIS functionality for report-generation and data-gathering.
  10. Team-player who can work in a collaborative environment, and cross-functionally.
  JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resource.
  • CCP Certification preferred.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the responsibilities of this position, the work environment characteristics listed below are representative of the environment the employee will encounter:

  • Usual office working conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Travel within or outside of state.
  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.

 

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

 

EVALUATION

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Charter Schools USA's policy.
