Description

JOB PURPOSE To manage all personnel and payroll processes, systems and policies for Red Apple Services (RAS), ABC Mechanical (ABC) and Red Apple Uniforms (RAU) in compliance with company, federal and state regulations. To ensure Red Apple Services, ABC Mechanical and Red Apple Uniforms operate at a high level of excellence by ensuring best-of-class staffing, processes, compliance factors and personnel support. This role works closely with Company Human Resources, Payroll, Compliance, and Legal teams, and is a direct representative of the Red Apple Services, ABC Mechanical and Red Apple Uniforms business units.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Operations and Personnel Manager shall:
  • Support the Director of Operations and Personnel in managing Support Center office and Field personnel.
  • Represent Red Apple Services, ABC Mechanical and Red Apple Uniforms in system implementations and company policy changes.
  • Manage the current Payroll system and assignment for all RAS, ABC and RAU Staff, both Support Center and Field based; including Time & Attendance, Reporting Structures, New Employee set ups, and Existing Employee information management.
  • Responsible to develop, manage and implement Payroll system Manager and Employee training modules.
  • Responsible for the processing of RAS, ABC and RAU Payroll; including accurate timekeeping, PTO approvals, reporting, overtime and extra hour reporting, and timely processing of bi-weekly payrolls.
  • Create payroll-related reports and audits to maintain budgeted schedules, labor and payroll for RAS, ABC and RAU.
  • Manage all Benefit, Leave of Absence, FMLA and STD/LTD claims in coordination with the CSUSA Benefits Department for all RAS and ABC staff.
  • Assist the Director of Business Operations and Analysis and Director of Operations and Personnel in reconciliation of financials in regard to payroll-related items on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Assist with the preparation of labor financials for each School Year Budget Review, including Compensation Analysis and Adjustments.
  • Travel within and outside the state as the job dictates.
  • Participate, successfully, in the training programs offered to increase the individual's skill and proficiency related to the assignments.
  • Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Perform other duties as delegated by President of RAS/ABC/RAU.
  • Follow federal and state laws, as well as company policies.

 

**MAY PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED**

 

Due to the requirements for the Facilities and Custodial Support Teams to ready all facilities for an emergency encounter, after notice of, but prior to, any Storm, Natural Disaster or other emergency, employees desiring PTO must document a Special Need, either an illness, dependent obligation or other issue. These issues and the need for early PTO are to be approved at the sole discretion of Management. Any leave taken without Approval and/or documentation identifying the reason, constitutes Job Abandonment and is grounds for termination under this policy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in the HR/Payroll field.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of work experience in a relevant position or field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in various HR Management and Payroll Systems.
  • Such alternatives to the above requirements as RAS/ABC/RAU may find appropriate and acceptable.
  • Possible travel required to off-site locations including overnight trips.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.

 

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY

Job is exempt from the minimum wage and overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

 

EVALUATION

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Charter Schools USA's policy.
