Global Procurement Director Real Estate, Construction and Asset Mgt.

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Dublin, Ireland

THE ROLE 

Reporting to the Head of Global Procurement GNFR and Transformation within our Global Procurement GNFR & Transformation, The Procurement Director will be responsible for establishing and developing a Global Procurement Function covering Real Estate, Construction and Asset Mgt. This will include establishing a solid organization of direct reports in NA and EUR, and close cooperation with potential BPO partner(s). Circle K in next 5 years targets to build 500 new stations, and in addition upgrade and remodel of large number of sites within our 14000 sites portfolio. Yearly cost spend for the category is proxy 1 billion USD CAPEX. It also covers other categories as office facilities, fuel terminals and fleet assets (cars and trucks).

This position will include all phases of procurement efforts for these categories in the NA and EUR markets.

Establish and foster relationships with key internal stakeholders and drive the change management processes across the GNFR categories and cultivates national-level relationships with primary vendor partners and leverages regional best-practices across the regions in NA and EUR.

Be main responsible for developing, overseeing, and facilitating the purchasing strategy, supervising teams of subordinate staff in purchasing, operations and logistics for the functional area and category.

The Procurement Director will support the company goals by focusing on personal accountability, customer service and work efficiency. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

Here are ways that you'll help make journeys better:  

  • Negotiate large scale complex supply, and non‐retail contracts.

  • Deliver additional procurement synergies for the company network, derived primarily from standardization efforts, exploiting unleveraged scale opportunities, consolidating vendor partners and distribution points, challenging current business models and technologies.

  • Provide strategic and tactical category guidance on key categories based on marked trends, internal and external best practices, and company performance objectives.

  • Establish cross‐functional teams to diagnose, quantify and address regional and/or national‐level opportunities and alternative revenue sources.

  • Unite the company's autonomous business units around common value‐enhancing principles, new programs and offerings, and relevant macro‐level opportunities.

  • Establish and maintain effective and efficient communication with senior management.

  • Lead the effort to scale successful regional programs to multinational and global level status.

  • Support the establishment of benchmarks, performance markers and objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business and economics, or similar. Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

  • Minimum 10 years of procurement, commercials, and contract management experience.

  • Senior leadership experience in real estate, construction, and maintenance. Preferable from retail industry or similar.

  • Documented track record in unlocking large scale commercial value within real estate, construction, and maintenance, and/or supply chain.

Personal characteristics:

  • Very strong commercial mindset.

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skillset.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to direct others according to company standards.

  • Strong ability to work with internal stakeholders and management at global scale.

  • Ability to network and establish partnerships externally.

  • Ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Exemplary multitasking and organizational skills.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor the message and delivery to a wide range of internal and external stakeholder groups.

  • Advanced Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferred, and procurement systems such as Ariba, Jaggaer, Coupa or similar.

  • Self-driven personality with strong ability to secure execution.

  • Willing to work non-traditional working hours, due to global time-zones.

  • Extensive travel required.
