We are looking for Senior AWS Cloud Engineer who can help us on our journey. Circle K mission is simple: we want to make journeys of our customers a little easier every day.
In the last few years, our continuously growing development teams (currently over 250 skilled IT professionals) have successfully implemented and deployed various software solutions to Circle K customers across Europe and North America. Among the solutions you will find web applications, native mobile applications, and technical components.
Considering Circle K global scale, our ambition is to make our B2B Customer Facing Products a preferred B2B mobility partner and make our customers lives a little bit easier. We also aim to unify our IT software architecture, so that it can provide its capabilities in any location where Circle K is present.
To achieve the above-mentioned goal, we work hard to digitize and fill in gaps in our customer journey. Therefore, we invest our energy, time and ideas where we believe the most value is expected: B2B mobile, API Services, B2B Web, Onboarding and Self-service portals.
We aim to provide our customers: best network and site offer, best B2B Driver and Fleet manager experience and to become for our customers: best ecosystem Partner, best mobility partner by creation of new business models and external mobility capabilities.
Currently we support our customer with mobile payment for fueling and car wash, indoor payment, drivers enrollment and aim to support them with frictionless fueling, EV charging, Pay by Plate, Loyalty, telematics and much more to come.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer embedded within the Java Development Team, you will be the linchpin that bridges development and operations, ensuring a seamless flow from code to deployment. Your role is crucial in maintaining the pulse of our agile development environment.
You will work with us using the newest technology stack, having numerous skilled developers, analysts and architects as new colleagues, working in an agile, multinational environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Orchestrating Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): You will architect, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines tailored for Java-based applications, ensuring rapid and reliable deployment cycles that align with agile development practices.
Environment Management: Craft and manage development, testing, and production environments in the cloud, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and optimized for Java applications.
Collaboration and Guidance: Work closely with the Java development team to embed DevOps practices into the development lifecycle, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions to track application performance, custom-tailored for Java environments, and use this data to continually optimize system performance.
Incident Management: Lead the charge in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for any infrastructure or deployment issues within the Java ecosystem
Manage AWS cloud services that span storage, security, networking and compute across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services
Proficiency in Implementation improvement, standardization and automation for AWS
Taking part in or being responsible for various projects or minor developments
Responsible for proposing, designing and running proof of concept of new solutions
Take part in roadmaps preparation for Software Engineering solutions in the clouds
Cooperation with Software Engineering Architecture to ensure our solutions alignment with the technology roadmap
Ensure availability and performance of business critical IT infrastructure
Amazon Web Services cloud advanced knowledge
Proficiency in provisioning cloud infrastructure (instances, databases, clusters, networking, monitoring)
Understanding and hands on experience of CI/CD environments and processes
Linux administration skills
Understanding of security, network, virtualization, load balancing, storage and databases
Experience in working with containers (Docker and clusters: ECS or K8s)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform
Automation/Configuration management Tools (preferred Ansible)
Open to learn and share knowledge, continuously develop personal and technical capabilities
Fluent English in writing and speaking
Experience in the design of cloud-based environments
Practice knowledge in one of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy)
Understanding of DevSecOps culture, practices, and tools e.g., GitHub, GitHub Actions Jenkins, Git, Checkmarx
Experience with centralized logging solutions (ELK Stack, Grafana)
