POSITION SUMMARY:

This position performs as a subject matter expert for Circle K Enterprise Systems.  Provides deep knowledge of financial systems and interfaces for convenience store, fuel, and food service operations.  Provides leadership in day to day and operational support to the North America enterprise systems.  Provides process improvement for enterprise systems and software.  Delivers solutions that meet cross functional requirements and follows defined IT processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, test, and deploy new accounting and retail applications as well as amendments to existing applications to solve complex problems that address critical business needs.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues. 
  • Monitor and maintain technology needs of enterprise systems.  Perform software patching and updates as necessary. 
  • Maintain and update existing reporting processes, reporting output and a variety of enterprise applications, ensuring that they are currently compatible and remain compatible with the corporate infrastructure.
  • Understand business applications, identify inefficiencies and make recommendations.  Work closely with accounting teams to address new and changing business requirements.
  • Coordinate electronic communication for development, testing and implementation of projects supporting the organization.
  • Coordinate planning and resource management for implementations, upgrades and enhancements for enterprise systems. 
  • Provide on-call support of enterprise accounting and reporting systems and software, to include problem analysis and resolution, upgrades, and customer support. 
  • Manage development and test environments, coordinate refreshes from production backups, and managing UAT before promoting new code to production.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL queries is required. 
  • Experience with PDI Enterprise software is preferred.  
  • Linux knowledge and experience is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree in IT field or equivalent combination of education and experience-based learning.
  • 3-5 years of experience\knowledge of retail systems, payment and loyalty transaction processing.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and customer service skills; must be detail oriented with an ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Follows IT standard protocol for change\release management.
  • Requires good presentation and communication skills as well as team participation.
  • Leadership across peer teams with follow through.
  • Some travel (<5%) is required.
