BUSINESS MANAGER - BIS

 

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Business Manager for Banking and Investment Services will report to the Head of Payments Innovation & Delivery (I&D) and will directly support the agenda for the Head of Banking and Investment Services, a sizeable organization that support core service and operations functions across all of City National Bank.  Responsibilities are multi-faceted and will include managing delivery and execution plans against payments initiatives, regulatory remediation efforts, operational excellence priorities, expense reduction, vendor rationalization, capital management, executive sponsored program reporting, and location strategy.  Other responsibilities will also include the creation of executive level communication (c-suite) and strategic pro-active planning against executive agendas spanning business and people agendas.  Expertise with PowerPoint and executive communication (written and oral) is a must. 

 

What you will do
  • Manages several projects / programs of varying size and complexity concurrently and consults with all levels of management which may require coordinating activities across multiple departments and/or divisions
  • Creation of executive level communication (c-suite) across a variety of topics, initiatives and focus items
  • Strategic pro-active planning against executive agendas spanning both business and people agendas
  • Provide direct support to both the head of Head of Innovation & Delivery as well as the Head of Banking and Investment ServicesParticipates in meeting activities to identify project goals and gain consensus on project steps, schedule and implementation procedures; fosters cooperation and involvement of support team
  • Leads Solution selection and implementation which impacts critical Bank units
  • Interviews colleagues/client to identify and analyze needs; develops project plan and provides input to recommendations for request/problem resolution
  • Establishes and maintains performance metrics to measure program success
  • Manages risk by ensuring reviews and sign offs from appropriate stakeholders
  • Works cross-functionally with technical, business, and compliance counterparts

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of Project management experience
  • 3+ years of Experience supporting electronic and physical payments
  • 3+ years of Experience building process designs

Skills and Knowledge

Compensation Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
