CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Corporate Communications Specialist is responsible for executing internal/external communications strategies and projects that help to promote City National Bank's brand reputation and growth. The Specialist is responsible for supporting the Corporate Communications team in developing, proposing, writing and editing content for a wide array of communications that promote the company's brand reputation, business development strategies, and thought leadership.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Develops and executes internal + external communication projects and programs such as content development for infoLink NEWS, press releases, emails, etc.
  • Conducts research and helps to execute communication strategies
  • Supports and manages team processes (such as internal email processes), administrative tasks, calendar management, daily media monitoring and metrics reporting
  • All other appropriate duties as required

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience to include writing and copy-editing skills, proofreading, Journalism, editing, AP Style or equivalent
  • Minimum 4+ years corporate communications
  • Minimum 2+ of media relations experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of banking/financial services industry experience
Additional Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field preferred
  • Finance/banking background preferred
  • Journalism, editing, AP Style, business background a plus
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills required
  • Must be able to provide high attention to detail
  • Knowledge and proficiency in social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Must possess an interpersonal style that enables effective relationships with peers and senior executives in the execution of job responsibilities
  • Strong background in corporate communications, business writing, media relations and digital communications
  • Must be capable of working well independently and in teams

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $78,970 - $126,140 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
