SALES SUPPORT OFFICER I RELATIONSHIP TEAM
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This position provides comprehensive support and backup to the Relationship Teams in all areas of the sales cycle and post-sales process. Support includes review of all new account documentation, submission of new account packages, and request for services. This position as it relates to the client onboarding process includes ownership of the request for new products, ensuring proper set up in accordance with regulatory and service standards. Provides technical support and practical guidance to colleagues, firms and clients concerning product usage and functionality and ensuring client satisfaction.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Assists Relationship Teams in the development and preparation of relationship reviews, new account packages, and requests for additional services. Assists with delivery and submission of complete new account packages and maintenance requests.
- Provides in-office phone sales support for the assigned colleagues, firms and clients. Activities generally include, but are not limited to, reviewing new account information sheets for completeness, ensuring all required documentation is received, collecting any missing information and/or documentation when possible, and escalating any possible high risk activities and/or clients for review/approval.
- Attend division operations and team meetings and contribute as appropriate. Assist Relationship Teams as backup for on-site sales calls as schedule permits.
- Maintains positive relationships with all units within the bank by providing product/service information and supporting the line divisions business development and client retention efforts.
- May attend annual relationships and risk review meetings to present product/service information or conduct line-training activities at the request of relationships teams as schedule permits.
- Participates on special projects as requested. Supports sales objectives that are consistent with overall division objectives. Maintains an awareness of all current regulatory requirements, policies and procedures and heightened standards requirements.
- Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
- Minimum of 1-2 years of general banking experience or equivalent training
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Minimum of 1-2 plus years of Sales Support or Operations experience
- Preferred degree from a four year college or university with concentration in a discipline directly related to the financial services industry or equivalent job experience.
- Sufficient experience in the banking industry showing an understanding of basic banking operations
- Proficient in the use of network and PC based software applications including menu driven work processing, spreadsheet, database, and information reporting software.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to gather, arranges, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to formulate conclusions and recommended actions.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $24.46 - $36.69 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
