Are you a technical professional with a passion for civic projects and a keen eye for detail? The City of Edmonton is looking for a talented Elections Systems Analyst to join our team in the Office of the City Clerk. This is a critical role that supports the preparation and delivery of municipal and school board elections, by-elections, and other important legislative projects. You will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, security, and transparency of Edmonton's democratic process. What will you do?
- Support the building, configuration, testing, and deployment of election and legislative solutions in collaboration with vendors, Open City and Technology (OCT), and other key partners
- Perform solution delivery and operational maintenance for election technologies, and troubleshoot technical issues
- Work with third-party providers to configure, customize, and deploy systems that support business processes, such as Election Logistics Management Systems (ELMS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and the permanent electors register
- Develop, document, and provide end-user training to team members on election applications
- Liaise with various internal support teams, including Network, Telecom, Application Support, and Web Support, to ensure project requirements are met
- Support the Data Integration Analyst with data extracts and integrations between systems as needed
- Configure and test voting station devices and software, and develop test plans and logic and accuracy audit procedures
- Provide front-line technical support to project team members and election workers at voting stations, including during evenings and weekends during key project activities
- Work with vendors to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve bug fixes and change requests
