We are seeking an Chemical Dependency Counselor for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:
You will support the mission of the hospital is to provide patients with the highest quality of healthcare in a caring atmosphere.
You will provide individual, group, marital/family CD counseling
You will provide chemical dependency assessments, treatment planning, discharge planning, linkage to community resources, referrals to extended treatment.
You will conduct aftercare groups if needed.
You will conduct psychoeducational groups and classes for patients and families.
You will function as a member of interdisciplinary team.
You will ensure and maintain appropriate confidentiality, privacy and privileged communication.
You must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Associates Degree Required / Bachelor's Degree preferred
Professional Certification as a Certified Addiction Counselor required
CPI certification within the first 90 days of employment required
GACA or NAACAC Certification preferred
Six months of supervised experience in addictive disease treatment setting, or demonstration of ability to adapt to such a setting
3 years of experience in behavioral health setting preferred
