Founded in 1971 and situated in the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area, the College of Southern Nevada is the most ethnically diverse college in Nevada and the first to receive the HSI designation. Coordinator, Business Development
*This position will be Open Until Filled.
The Business Development Coordinator reports to the Division of Workforce and Economic Development's Director of Business Development. The position is responsible for identifying, presenting, and securing customized training in support of the area business and industry.
The successful candidate will coordinate the delivery of leading-edge training as well as provide business and technical solutions to a wide range of workforce talent and professional development for the southern Nevada Region.
Under the direction of the Director of Business Development, this individual is responsible for presenting, promoting, and securing contracts in support of customized training and workshops/seminars to existing and prospective customers. Duties include performing cost-benefit and needs analyses of existing/potential customers and expediting the resolution of customer workforce, talent, and professional development needs. The position is required to achieve agreed-upon targets and outcomes and is pivotal in providing input regarding customers and accounts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university in a related field; OR equivalent combination of experience and education
3 years' related experience
2 years' experience in business development
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business administration or related field from a regionally accredited college/university
4 years of experience
Experience with CSN policies and procedures

Skilled in developing effective partnerships with business and industry in the identification of training needs, including conducting quantitative and qualitative assessments, developing customized workforce solutions and aligning work with key performance metrics (e.g., revenue, profit/loss ratios, sector ratios, number of trainees, net new clients etc.).
Salary Information
Administrative Faculty C - Starting Salary is $68,063.
