Job Description

The Coordinator, Centers for Academic Success exists to provide supervision, training, coaching, and guidance to all employees on an assigned campus. The Coordinator is expected to assist the Director in collaboration with the leadership team in ensuring that all of the student support centers follow consistent and substantiated operational "best practices" based on credible sources, evidence, and strategic planning and that the student support center operations and services are consistent across all three main campuses. The Coordinator will provide direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of all drop-in and appointment-based learning centers, supplemental instruction sessions, and other Centers for Academic Success programming on the assigned campus.

The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Ability to work as part of a team to implement best practices and evidence-based decision-making.

  • Ability to communicate these best practices during training sessions.

  • Strong collaboration skills to cooperate with a group of full time and part time employees who work at three different campus locations to provide consistent services across all three campuses.

  • Ability to work with the Director and CAS leadership team to implement short term and long-term goals that need to be accomplished as they relate to the mission and vision of the Centers for Academic Success.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of CSN students, faculty, staff, and administration.

  • Possess positive interpersonal communication.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain sound organizational practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3 years of comparable professional experience.

  • 1 year related lead or supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective practices in learning support.

  • Experience developing and delivering training and workshops.

  • Experience in research, assessment, and evidence-based decision making.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a variety of faculty, staff, and students.

  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and nonverbal).

  • Experience building training or course curriculum in a learning management system.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

  • Experience with content-based and study skills tutoring at the college level.

Salary Information


Administrative Faculty C – The starting salary is $61,875
