Job Description
Part Time Instructor Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of a Part Time Automotive Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:
Lecture and Lab instruction for Automotive courses. Courses range from Introduction to Automotive Maintenance to Advanced Diagnostics.
Provide Lab Safety Training.
Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
Provide advisement to students.
Some program and or curriculum development may be requested.
Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.
Automotive courses are taught at the North Las Vegas Campus, in-person. Automotive courses are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekend.
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
This position will be paid $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
Required Qualifications
Current ASE certifications
5 Years of Experience as a Technician in Automotive Industry
Preferred Qualifications
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Automotive Technologies
G1 Auto Maintenance and Light Repair
Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
Knowledge in Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
