Colonial Internal Medicine Associates, a well-established independent practice that has served the Fredericksburg and Stafford Virginia areas for 20 years, is seeking experienced Physician Assistants to join a team of five physicians and six PAs practicing adolescent and adult Internal Medicine in a fast-paced office setting. This opportunity is an outpatient position with no night, weekend, or holiday work, and no call responsibilities.

The practice employs Advanced Compensation Models (ACM) that permit the provider to configure a compensation arrangement that balances both professional and personal goals. The models can be structured to emphasize a patient care/administrative balance with a ½ day per week set aside for administrative matters;or be production focused allowing the physician assistant to maximize earning potential. The models permit an earning potential upwards of $170,000/yr. Advanced Compensation Models provide a pathway for professional GROWTH and LONGEVITY with the practice and offer professional flexibility for changing life circumstances.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least two years or more of primary care experience.
  • Provide initial and follow up care to an established, robust patient panel.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate in a fast-paced office, working independently and in collaboration with physicians to address patient needs.
  • Have a "service to patients" mentality and desire to join a stable and growing medical practice where they will be instrumental in providing primary care to their patient panel.
  • Have graduated with a master's degree or higher from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Hold a current Virginia state license as a Physician Assistant.
  • Hold a current DEA certificate.
