Description

The Division of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Cooper University Hospital, located in southern New Jersey, across the river from Philadelphia, is seeking a full-time Otologist/Neurotologist to join our busy academic practice. Applicants must be board certified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery and fellowship-trained in Neurotology & Lateral Skull Base Surgery.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to step into an established turnkey Neurotology practice serving as the only fellowship-trained Otologist/Neurotologist in southern New Jersey (population ~2 million).

Applicants will be expected to provide comprehensive Otologic & Neurotologic care, including cochlear implantation, and surgery for chronic ear disease & lateral skull base tumors. Applicants should be comfortable and competent in managing urgent and emergent Otolaryngology consults encountered in the inpatient/on-call setting and can expect full support from other colleagues in the division, all of whom have subspecialty expertise. There is robust inpatient and outpatient practice support from our team of Advanced Practice Providers.

In addition to inheriting a busy clinical practice, the successful applicant will serve as a core faculty member in our ACGME-accredited Otolaryngology residency training program that began in July 2019 and will receive an academic teaching appointment through the Cooper Medical School at Rowan University, commensurate with level of experience. There are numerous research opportunities, with ample support from medical students & residents, as well as through the Department of Surgery.

Our team is exceptionally close-knit and energetic and enjoys a healthy work/life balance. We pride ourselves on the strong culture of collegiality and camaraderie we have created, as well as the scope and high quality of care that we render to our patients.

The location of Cooper University Hospital in south Jersey is directly across the river from Philadelphia and in close proximity to New York, Washington DC, the Jersey Shore, and the Pocono Mountains. There is a vibrant cultural and entertainment scene in our region, along with great restaurants, and numerous outdoor activities.

Compensation and benefits are highly competitive. Our division and the Cooper University Hospital are committed to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusivity.
