Summary:

The Occupational Health On-Site and Marketing Coordinator demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant and the commitment to Keeping our Promise of Caring. This individual is responsible for sales of Occupational Health services to the business community; establishes relationships with new client companies, as well as maintains strong relationships with current client companies; provides ongoing assessment of client company satisfaction; responsible for increasing number of client companies, patient volumes and revenue. The Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager, participates in recommending the selection/hiring of new employees, assists with assigned employee evaluations and corrective actions, and organizes and directs the On-Site team staff. In addition, Coordinator is responsible for all services provided by On-site team, coordinates wellness services, coordinates Executive physicals and clinical competencies of all staff.

  • Contributes to organization success targets for net operating margin by assisting to establish and manage a cost-effective department budget.
  • Exemplifies financial stewardship by effectively and efficiently managing financial resources to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Process Accounts Payable and report inconsistencies to finance or department manager.
  • Works collaboratively with Central Business Office to problem solve and resolve any issues.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of existing software system and remains current with upgrades, builds company protocols with appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes into the electronic medical record software system for scheduling, workflow, and billing purposes.
  • Contributes to success targets for customer/patient satisfaction, by demonstrating and delivering superior customer service at all times.
  • Ensures that customer/patient needs are addressed and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Monitors, directs, develops and oversees Occupational Health staff, maintaining standard operating procedures in conjunction with co-management.
  • Ensures procedures are in place to support the department.
  • Coordinates employee schedules, covers staff vacations, leaves, jury duty, etc., and monitors daily staff assignments, reporting on staff productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics.
  • Monitors workflow patterns and implements process improvement where appropriate.
  • Instructs staff and trains new employees where appropriate.
  • Ensures effective operation and communication with all clinics.
  • Promotes employees to work together as an effective team.
  • Maintains proficiency in all computer functionality necessary to perform job duties.
  • Assists in establishing and documenting competencies.
  • Recommends to the manager hiring, corrective action and evaluation of employees. May be required to administer corrective action or supply documentation for corrective action of employees to Manager.
  • In conjunction with co-management, enters/verifies payroll for clinic staff.
  • Serves as resource for customers (physicians, nurses, technologists, etc.) to answer questions and act independently in resolving problems.
  • Takes independent action to resolve section problems and customer complaints. Keeps co-management informed of issues and resolutions.
  • Exhibits strong decision making skills and leads by example.
  • Coordinates staff with an emphasis on teamwork and improved customer service.
  • Develops and implements marketing plan to support strategic plans of Occupational Health.
  • Networks in business community and represents Covenant at business functions, such as Chamber of Commerce.
  • Establishes new customers and implements service plans.
  • Acquires and maintains knowledge of Occupational Health
  • Regularly meets/communicates with current client companies and evaluates needs on ongoing basis.
  • Develops and maintains database of marketing information.
  • Assists in development of promotional materials.
  • Continually identifies and recommends or implements ways in which department tasks / processes may be streamlined or improved to gain efficiency.
  • Participates and helps lead staff meetings, in-service programs and continuing education as necessary. Leads training and orientation for new staff and assists with staff competencies to ensure all staff are trained appropriately.
  • Under guidance of manager maintains all CLIA, OSHA, MIOSHA, HFAP and Corporate Compliance regulations.
  • Recommends and develops new procedures to improve services. Assists in new procedure development, implementation and review in conjunction with the co-management/manager

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Business or Marketing required. 
  • Minimum of two (2) year in Sales and Marketing
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience and three (3) years experienc in a medical setting.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

 

  • Strong knowledge of standard Occupational Health Services. Familiarity with worker's compensation, OSHA, MIOSHA, HFAP, DOT and other regulatory organizations governing Occupational Medicine Services.
  • Proven strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to flex work schedule in order to meet staffing needs.
  • Proven ability to deal positively with staff, to motivate, and to resolve problems effectively.
  • Proven ability to work under stressful situations with a positive attitude.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, carrying, twisting, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, near vision, midrange vision, far vision, reaching, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling
