The role of Payroll Administrator will support the Accounting Manager with the preparation of account reconciliations, lead payroll functions including benefits administration and provide other accounting support as required.  The Payroll Administrator demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.



• Contributes to organization success targets for net operating margin • Demonstrates excellent customer service • Lead & oversee processing of company's payroll every pay period (biweekly) for 4500+ employees • Oversee preparation and filing of payroll tax requirements • Maintain current knowledge & ensure compliance of State and Federal wage laws  • Preparation of account analysis and reconciliation • Assist and support preparation of financial statements for all companies • Assist with preparation of 990's and audit requirements • Assist in developing policies and procedures that promote internal controls while safeguarding the assets of the organization. • Maintain strictest confidentiality • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other business related field • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience with emphasis on Payroll/General Ledger and/or Human Resources preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES • Microsoft Office especially Excel proficiency • Excellent Customer service & communication skills • Attention to detail • Ability to work under pressure/deadlines • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others/departments • Excellent organization skills • Familiar with software, especially Infor/Lawson • Proven understanding of tax procedures, benefits and other wage deductions

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
