Senior Director of Pharmacy
Mon Health Medical Center
Morgantown, West Virginia

As a full-time, exempt, Senior Director of Pharmacy with CPS Solutions, LLC based at Mon Health Medical Center, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws at both locations. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed-upon programs with assistance from a full support team. You will assist with the security of the pharmacies and controlled substances, assist in the recruitment and hiring of pharmacy staff, ensure all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements are being met, ensure the provision of optimal services, and oversee Directors of Pharmacy at Mon Marion Neighborhood Hospital, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, and Webster Memorial Hospital as well as other hospital personnel to enhance financial performance. 

Schedule:  This position works at least 40 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday, however, hours may vary, and can be long and irregular to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Starting Pay: $170,000 to 200,000 annually, depending on related work experience.

About the Facility:  Mon Health Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited, 189-bed acute-care community hospital and Level IV Trauma Center located in Morgantown, West Virginia. It is part of Mon Health, an "integrated health care delivery system" serving north-central West Virginia, western Maryland, and southwestern Pennsylvania. Monongalia Health Medical Center is an acute care adult facility with a wide range of specialties including Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Neurology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oculofacial Surgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry & Behavioral Health, and Rheumatology. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.


Required Qualifications: 

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current West Virginia Pharmacist license in good standing
  • 3+ years of recent Pharmacy Director experience in a complex health system preferred
  • At least 5+ years experience as a Pharmacist in an acute care hospital setting

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services. Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology
  • Leadership, administrative, human resource, and managerial skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on interdisciplinary teams and committees
  • Business acumen including profit/loss understanding, contract negotiations, and GPO function
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking ability

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine
