Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem 
Central Desert Behavioral Health Center
Albuquerque, NM

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Central Desert Behavioral Health Center, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage for staff PTO and/or as needed, 8 hours each week.

About the Facility: Central Desert Behavioral Health Center is a new 64-bed inpatient center offering advanced programming and services for the treatment of behavioral health illness for older adults. The center provides professional care for individuals who are experiencing a wide range of emotional, social and behavioral needs affecting the healthy function of their daily lives. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. This centralized pharmacy utilizes MedDispense and Amigo systems. Clinical services offered include drug regimen review, interventions, ADRs, P&T and Med Exec. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Degree - BS or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Current New Mexico Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
  • Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy setting; willing to train a new graduate
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required):

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st -April 30th 
  • COVID Vaccine-Full
