Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem
Aurora Behavioral Health System - West

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Aurora Behavioral Health-West, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. 

Schedule:This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage for staff PTO as needed and may occasionally provide coverage at Aurora Behavioral-Tempe, with a minimum of 4 hours/month and/or up to 19 hours/week.  

About the Facility:  Aurora Behavioral Health System is Arizona's largest free-standing psychiatric hospital system. Aurora is dedicated to the wellness of individuals, their families and the community through prevention, intervention, and inpatient and outpatient treatment services. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:  The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm, and closed weekends and the six major holidays. After hours pharmacy services provides coverage for weekdays after business hours and on a 24/7 basis weekends and holidays. The pharmacy utilizes Pyxis automation with CPOE and eMAR technology. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current Arizona pharmacist license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital or retail setting
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required):

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months  ​
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine-Full (required)
