CVS Media Exchange [CMX] is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers, merchants, stores, GMs, brand advertisers, and agencies. Our full-funnel ad solutions leverage CVS's in-store and online data, extensive reach, and to provide measurable results for our clientele. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, engage with CVS consumers, and convert CVS consumers to shoppers.  CMX's Leadership team is seeking an experienced Industry Manager for our Beauty & Personal Care vertical to help build and manage a team of vertical industry professionals to lead the CMX monetization strategy for our brands.  The ideal candidate will be a strategic, creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable solutions for their clients and their teams. They will have managed/scaled businesses and have the capability to manage and motivate a small but high-performing team. Ideal candidates will have consistent management experience as well as extensive experience selling or buying cross-network online marketing solutions such as direct response, search, branding, integrated sponsorships, and display advertising. Additionally, the candidate will have experience working within a matrix organization as well as experience in leading, coaching and influencing people. Candidates must have strong consultative sales skills with C-suite leaders, a collaborative and innovative spirit, and be extremely comfortable dealing with ambiguity.  Responsibilities  * Creates sales strategy and builds a culture of collaboration to achieve industry-wide (for example, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)/Health and Wellness etc.) sales targets within the annual operating plan by building plans to achieve internal annual objectives across various areas (for example, product management, platform, operations, finance, marketing, research, strategy, and sales)  * Developing a sales strategy for the industry with a minimum sales target (for example, $30M+); finalizing revenue targets for each account along with general managers based on past trend analysis  * Recommending broad approaches and areas of opportunities to meet the targets and long range plans to senior leadership and team: highlighting areas of concern or bottlenecks to the leadership team  * Understanding the industry strategy across other departments (for example, marketing, eCommerce marketing, and Stores)  * Partnering with internal and external stakeholders (for example, merchandising heads, general managers, senior partners of suppliers, agencies and marketers) to drive the business forward.  * Builds, leads, and develops a team with a minimum team size by providing direction and guidance to associates on career development; Conducting weekly meetings, providing constructive feedback to associates to enhance skills, knowledge, brand perception, institutional knowledge, and work performance; conducting performance and career development conversations; engaging and mentoring less experienced managers and associates.  * Oversees and is responsible for financial results in area of responsibility by building action plans to achieve annual objectives across various groups (for example, product, platform, operations, finance, marketing, research, strategy, and sales)  * Driving a cross-team/functional workstream; tracking against key performance metrics; creating a playbook for the industry in partnership with other industry managers; crafting conference-worthy case studies that demonstrate the approach, solution provided, success story, and results achieved by the marketer.  * Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes  * Measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.  * Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.  * Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.  * Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.  Required Qualifications: * 10+ years of experience in marketing or advertising sales * 5+ years of performance management, leadership and cross-functional leadership experience * 4+ years of digital media experience including examples of testing, validating emerging opportunities and media networks   Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in brand advertising (for example, TV or video, sponsorship), media sales, customer acquisition and growth, search, mobile and online sales * Experience with retail media or retail/ecommerce agency experience * Previous traditional sales experience, preferably in digital media with CPG clients * Brand category management experience * Excellent communication skills that can be effectively articulated in both written and verbal forms across a diverse audience base.
