We want everyone who works at CVS Health to feel empowered by the role they play in transforming our culture and accelerating our ability to innovate and deliver solutions to make health care more personal, convenient and affordable. *POSITION SUMMARY* CVS Health Digital is looking for a dynamic and driven Director of Digital Engineering – Mobile applications Technical Leader to lead a 12+ person engineering team tasked with creating best in class experiences focused on identifying, prioritizing, and shaping complex enterprise initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders. In this role, reporting directly to the Executive Director, Digital Engineering, you will be leading a team of engineers to drive the delivery of our digital products and focusing on digital transformation initiatives. You will assist in creating our next generation platform. This Director will take ownership and utilize exemplary communication skills to support, manage, and mentor engineering professionals with deep and varying technical backgrounds and experience. You should have the ability to lead end-to-end delivery of Mobile applications, be comfortable working with both product and architecture teams, understand solutioning at an expert level and be data driven from a Pharmacy domain perspective. A successful candidate will be highly motivated and passionate about raising the engineering bar within the team and be cognizant that the success of the team's work will impact millions of CVS consumers. In this role you will Be mentoring/guiding team members, helping drive development decisions, and assisting with architecture design decisions. You will demonstrate executive level qualities, lead the conversation, have an eye for great design and invest your time managing engineers. This includes but is not limited to performance reviews and collaborating, supporting and technically advising team members as well as working alongside Product and stakeholders on other teams and using your technical SME skills in strategic planning, scoping, delivery What You Are Known For * Your technical expertise with tech stack such as iOS, Android, Swift UI, Angular, API's (This is not a hands-on coding position but demonstrable previous expertise as a end-user facing on enterprise class applications is a prerequisite) * Your ability to adopt, optimize, and measure Mobile app performance and speed metrics (best practices) * Your Retail Pharmacy domain expertise * Your collaboration skills with key stakeholders in solutioning with product, architecture, and development teams * You are proficient at guiding, coaching and mentoring engineers * Your data driven approach to management and measuring performance defects and the solutions you have implemented to resolve them *REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS* * 10+ years of overall IT/Digital Application development experience on enterprise class applications * 6+ years leading / managing teams with direct reports with additionally experience in leading medium to large sized teams of diverse development engineers across multiple locations. * 6+ years partnering with architecture, product, and program management teams to influence product development assisting or improving products * 5+ years of Mobile technologies * 5+ years of working on ecommerce application with a focus on delivering results based on data *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* * Experience working with distributed teams, working across multiple time zones and geographies. * Experience working in research environment. * Experience in the health and wellness domain * Ability to influence and inspire teams to align technical direction. * Ability to create and execute on roadmaps that consider both progress and innovation as well as the need to scale reliably. * Have contributed to open-source technology and Developed patents. * Ability to learn/work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space. * Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve broader organizational goals. *EDUCATION* Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) *BUSINESS OVERVIEW* Bring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
