We want everyone who works at CVS Health to feel empowered by the role they play in transforming our culture and accelerating our ability to innovate and deliver solutions to make health care more personal, convenient and affordable. *Position Summary:* CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Richardson, TX: Lead Director, Architecture to plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects and initiatives to deliver digital transformation for e-commerce platforms. Duties include: guide the work of digital development engineers building next generation platforms to enable the delivery of use cases and products that help people live healthier lives; provide technical leadership for digital transformation projects for e-commerce leveraging Java/J2EE stack, Microservices, open source frameworks, and Cloud technologies; coordinate between business and technical aspects of projects and collaborate cross-functionally with business users, project managers, and engineers to achieve elegant solutions; brainstorm with architects, product managers, data scientists, and engineers to build data products that improve the health outcomes of millions of people; architect, design, and develop cloud scalable services in a containerized and CI/CD environment; provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements to existing systems and platforms; develop recommendations for continuous improvement and monitor project milestones and deliverables; provide technical leadership for team direction, determine and develop approaches to solutions, and coordinate multiple resources to identify and resolve problems; support career development for junior engineers by providing advice, coaching and mentoring, and grow the engineering team by interviewing, recruiting and hiring top talent; collaborate with teams to brainstorm and create new products, take ownership of services and applications at scale, and plan and prioritize project stages; ensure adherence to software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations; provide technical guidance in software design and development activities, participate in design reviews, and recommend improvements; and support all phases of the software development life cycle to ensure delivery of high-quality products. Multiple Openings. - Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Also requires five (5) years of experience with each of the following: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); SAFe Agile Methodologies; Windows XP; Oracle 9i; Toad; PL/SQL Developer; Unix Shell scripting; and Autosys, REMEDY, and Heat. Telecommuting available. *Pay Range:* $187907.00/year to $280000.00/year.
