This is a great opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician in our Clinical Divert Department, which is part of a pharmacy that optimizing the prescription benefit opportunity! The Pharmacy Technician initiates phone calls, and receives inbound calls from physician offices and translates prescriptions. In this role you will review prescriptions received from various departments and evaluate them for clinical opportunity. You would be responsible for addressing the appropriateness of a therapy, generic substitution, or therapeutic interchange opportunities with potential cost savings outcomes. This position allows you to utilize your skills with calculating figures, rates, ratios, percentages in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals in optimizing prescriptions for the pharmacists.
Monday-Thursday, 10am-6:30pm; Friday, 9am-5:30pm; rotating weekends

- Minimum of 6 months of Pharmacy Technician experience in a Retail and/or Mail Order pharmacy setting
- Active Illinois state board of pharmacy license
- PTCB Certified
- Understand clinical rationale behind therapy protocols
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
