In this role, you'll be a driving force in technological innovation, spearheading research and formulating groundbreaking solutions in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Your contributions will be instrumental in enhancing our AI and ML systems, propelling the development of cutting-edge technologies.   *Research and Analysis:* * Perform extensive literature reviews to stay at the forefront of AI and ML advancements. * Critically evaluate existing algorithms and models, pinpointing limitations, and devising innovative solutions. *Algorithm and Model Development:* * Create and implement a diverse array of algorithms and models, ranging from straightforward linear regression to complex neural networks. * Participate actively in coding, testing, and refining prototypes to achieve peak performance and precision. *Data Collection and Preparation:* * Scout and secure relevant datasets; meticulously preprocess data to guarantee its quality and applicability for training and testing ML models. *Experimentation and Evaluation:* * Craft and implement experimental methodologies to rigorously assess the efficacy of ML algorithms and models. * Interpret results, deducing significant conclusions, and recommending improvements. *Collaborative Work:* * Engage proactively with cross-disciplinary teams, such as software engineers, data scientists and product managers, to integrate research findings into tangible applications. * Offer expert technical advice and support to team members *Communicating Results:* * Methodically document and disseminate research findings via papers, conferences, blog posts, and presentations. * Convey complex AI/ML concepts clearly to both specialized and non-technical audiences. *Continuous Learning:* * Remain continually informed of evolving trends in AI and ML through active participation in conferences and training sessions. * Play a part in enhancing organizational intellectual property and patent portfolios. *Ethical Considerations:* * Champion the ethical deployment of AI and ML systems with an emphasis on privacy, fairness, and transparency. *Documentation:* * Keep comprehensive records of research methodologies, experimental designs, and findings. *Mentorship and Collaboration:* * Act as a mentor to junior researchers and interns, nurturing a collaborative and inventive research environment. *Required Qualifications* * 10 years' total experience in AI/ML or Data * Multiple years' experience in a Technical Lead role * Multiple years' experience in an AI/ML focused Research position *Preferred Qualifications* * An advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. * Demonstrated experience in AI/ML research, evidenced by publications or presentations in recognized forums. * Proficient programming skills in relevant languages (e.g., Python, R). * Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities. * Robust communication skills, both in verbal and written form. * A collaborative spirit, thriving in team-oriented settings *Education* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience) *Pay Range* The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.    In addition to your compensation, enjoy the rewards of an organization that puts our heart into caring for our colleagues and our communities.  The Company offers a full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits.  Eligible employees may enroll in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan is also available for eligible employees.  The Company provides a fully-paid term life insurance plan to eligible employees, and short-term and long term disability benefits.
