As a key player on a Machine Learning COE (Center of Excellence) team, you will partner with data engineers, data scientists, and operations teams in training, building, deploying and scaling ML models and capabilities leveraging cloud-native containerization & distributed computing technologies. You will play a key role in optimizing ML pipelines for scalability and performance in an environment with very large datasets. You will apply an ‘Engineering Excellence' mindset by building reusable engineering products, frameworks and other automation solutions that simplify and accelerate deployment of ML solutions. You will constantly seek, evaluate, and execute opportunities to lower cloud compute, storage & license costs. The Lead ML engineer will also help augment & maintain the foundational ML platform by upgrading, retiring software, performing proof of concepts to identify the right tech stack to support large scale ML implementations. You will act as a trusted engineering advisor and partner to data scientists and enable self-service ML capabilities to optimize and simplify collaboration. You will have opportunities to mentor a team of junior ML and data engineers and help build a strong in-house engineering team. *Required qualifications*: * 7+ years of Data & Analytics related software development experience with 5+ years of experience in designing & developing ML pipelines and/or platforms * 5+ years building cloud native analytical products in GCP, Azure or AWS * 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing AI solutions leveraging Python libraries such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, Scikit-Learn, Keras, XGBoost * 3+ years of hands-on ML-centric programming experience with either Python(preferred), Rust, Java or R * 3+ years of experience leading teams in designing ML solutions, metadata frameworks, reusable components and pipelines for data and AI/ML solutions * 3+ years hands-on experience working in scalable distributed computation frameworks like Spark or Dask * 3+ years hands-on experience working in Dev/ML Ops model, familiarity with industry deployment best practices using CI/CD tools and infrastructure as a code (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience within an IT infrastructure domain and familiarity with telemetry/log data and concepts is highly desirable * Expertise with working with open-source ML platforms & toolsets such as mlflow and Feast is preferred * Exposure in implementing Gen AI and/or NLP based solutions using LLMs * Experience in deploying unsupervised machine learning, deep neural network,CNNs, ensemble models * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain and discuss machine learning concepts with non-technical colleagues and cross functional teams * Experience with online model inferences *Education* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience) *Pay Range* The typical pay range for this role is: $124,372.50 - $247,200.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.    In addition to your compensation, enjoy the rewards of an organization that puts our heart into caring for our colleagues and our communities.  The Company offers a full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits.  Eligible employees may enroll in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan is also available for eligible employees.  The Company provides a fully-paid term life insurance plan to eligible employees, and short-term and long term disability benefits.
