We're looking for a Senior Product Owner who is passionate about web technologies and developer experiences. The team that this role supports is focused on reducing toil, improving the engineering experiences, removing cognitive load, and ultimately finding ways to remove barriers to allow engineers to focus on their craft, providing best in class user experiences! As a Senior Product Owner in CVS Digital, your role will drive support in providing a solid foundation that empowers engineers to create, configure, and deliver web applications to millions of users. Ideal candidates will have hands on experience working on complex distribute web applications. As this role services thousands of web engineers – it is vital that this candidate has a deep understanding for common patterns and pitfalls of web development. You will be an integral part of the Developer Experience and Enablement organization, dedicated to offering CVS engineering the ability to elevate their value streams. In this role, your primary focus is to support our Web Platform team - which focuses on bringing a unified, enjoyable, and efficient developer experience across all of CVS.  You'll collaborate frequently, connecting architects, design teams, engineering, and product to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the goals and vision of your product strategy. This role affords the opportunity to dramatically shape the future of engineering, by working alongside a talented and passionate team. The work your team builds will impact software engineering capabilities that are a critical part of our health care platform that enables CVS to deliver the best digital customer experience possible.   Key Responsibilities:  * Understand engineering requirements and decompose into features, user stories and tasks, manage and prioritize the product backlog, participate in scrums and meta-scrums, and validate delivered solution designs. * Have experience working on developer tools, working closely with engineering partners, or similar experience.  * Be able to take ambiguous guidelines and drive future direction by understanding your target audiences and their needs.  * Identify what success looks like, what risks may present themselves, and how we might mitigate them in order to achieve our goals. * Have experience working closely with software engineers so that you can bring low fidelity designs into reality driven by market research and metrics.  * Have experience collaborating across many different groups and teams to accomplish product strategy. * Be comfortable working with your team leadership to develop and maintain product roadmap and OKRs. * While coding is not your primary role, expectation is that you have the experience to articulate complex technical concepts concisely. You should be able to demonstrate value of platform tools that showcases deep understanding of developer needs and workflows. *REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS* * 7+ years of recent experience developing and maintaining client-side applications using modern web frameworks such as React, Angular or equivalent for a large, corporate organization * 5+ years of experience working as a Product owner, Product manager, or engineering leadership roles that is producing or maintaining client-side applications * 2+ years of experience writing measurable OKRs that tie into the broader organization goals * Strong practical experience with web application performance, optimization techniques and front-end common testing frameworks like Jest or equivalent * Strong verbal and written marketing / communication skills *PREFERRED QUALIFICATION* * Must be comfortable with public speaking * Proficiency in W3C web standards and technologies * Facilitating 'user testing' to understand the problems and struggles that impede developer flow state and experience * Ability to translate complex, and opaque, business requirements to actionable work * Supportive leadership style. i.e. servant leadership rather than command and control * A passion for improving and supporting the lives of others *EDUCATION* Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) *BUSINESS OVERVIEW* Bring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
