We want everyone who works at CVS Health to feel empowered by the role they play in transforming our culture and accelerating our ability to innovate and deliver solutions to make health care more personal, convenient and affordable. *Position Summary* CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Vulnerability Management Engineer (Windows) to join our dynamic team. This role is for a Senior Security Engineer, who will provide hands on guidance and direction in ensuring that the Windows environment is compliant to the CVS vulnerability management program.    The key responsibilities for operations, engineering, security and compliance, automation and scripting, documentation and knowledge sharing, and stakeholder interaction are:    Operations  * Oversee the administration and implementation of the Windows vulnerability and compliance program.   * Utilize Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) to ensure patching jobs are configured properly prior to deployment.   * Create and utilize scripting languages such as Powershell or Python to automate remediation efforts  * Manage and troubleshoot the physical and virtual servers to guarantee the closure of vulnerabilities.   * Communicate with customers to ensure environmental compliance.    * Modernize and optimize the current environment to ensure SLAs are met.   * Patch and update the ESXi environment.  Plans and remediates ad-hoc, off cycle patches for Windows and ESXi.   * Create and provide on-demand reporting to show adherence to compliance. Manage Windows and ESXi inventory to ensure compliance to Minimum Security Baseline is met.   * Stay current on the active threats and develop a proactive program to remediate them as soon as possible. Liaise with key vendors on upcoming threats and fixes.  * Develop dashboards and metrics to not only show where possible threats exist, but to display compliance of the Windows environment. Ensure best practices are adopted across the enterprise for security and vulnerability remediation.   Engineering  * Collaborate with threat and vulnerability management team, system administrators, and architects to set standards for compliance and remediation.   * Assess new products for integration and automation in respect to remediation effort. (e.g., BladeLogic, BigFix, NinjaOne, ManageEngine, etc.).   * Lead technology initiatives for enterprise vulnerability management programs revolving around integrating and reporting with Qualys and ServiceNow dataset.     Security and Compliance  * Partner with the security team to implement and enforce security best practices, ensuring that Windows and ESXi servers and their associated services meet CVS Health's security and compliance standards.  * Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular vulnerability assessments and apply patches, updates, and security configurations to mitigate potential threats as needed.   * Respond to audits relating to security frameworks (e.g. FTC, PCI, SOX, SOC, SOC2 etc.). Adhere to CIS benchmarks by maintaining the Windows Minimum Security Baseline    Automation and Scripting  * Automate routine tasks and processes through scripting and automation tools to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.   * Develop other IAC tools as appropriate to optimize the environment.    Documentation and Knowledge Sharing  * Maintain up-to-date documentation of vulnerability best practices, procedures, and policies. Share knowledge and expertise with junior team members and partners, facilitating skill development and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Educates internal team on best practices.     Stakeholder Interaction  * Educate clients on current and upcoming threats, and actions being taken to remediate. Consult with internal security on plans and actions around vulnerability management.    *Required Qualifications* * 5+ years of experience in a hands-on security engineering role, with a focus on vulnerability management and patching.  * 2+ years of experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or similar.  * 2+ years of experience with Common Vulnerabilities and Exposure (CVE) database, Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), and related standards.  * 2+ years of experience with patch management tools and systems such as WSUS, SCCM, or similar.  * One or more years of experience with Powershell or Python types of scripting languages     *Preferred Qualifications* * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.  * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.  * Solid understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud platforms * Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSE, or similar certifications are a plus.  * Experience with ESXi and other virtual platforms.  * Experience with Terraform, Ansible or other IAC tools preferred.  * Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.  * Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.  *Education* * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience) *Pay Range* The typical pay range for this role is: $118,450.00 - $236,900.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.    In addition to your compensation, enjoy the rewards of an organization that puts our heart into caring for our colleagues and our communities.  The Company offers a full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits.  Eligible employees may enroll in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan is also available for eligible employees.  The Company provides a fully-paid term life insurance plan to eligible employees, and short-term and long term disability benefits.
