You take ownership and accountability for developing and executing a companywide strategy and tactical plan, for asset protection functions, which supports superior operational performance across the enterprise. This role will lead a dynamic organization committed to the acceleration of fresh ideas to address shrinkage across retail. Manage a substantial large Shrink Budget for Front Store and Pharmacy across ~9,700 locations, as well as all non-Retail locations. The Vice President, Retail Asset Protection reports directly to the SVP, Retail Field & Store Operations of CVS Health and is a critical member of the leadership team. *Responsibilities Include: * * Ensure the company's processes, controls and systems are of the highest standard, protecting our assets, customers, business, and employees. * Direct reports of 3 and leading team size of ~300 colleagues (Asset Protection/Non-Store Pharmacy) * Explore and lead asset protection strategies through an analytic and data driven lens * Develop a clear data driven strategy and vision for the AP team across CVS Health to significantly reduce and minimize retail and product shrink. * Develop strong relationships/partnerships with key stakeholders across the enterprise to establish credibility with various levels of management and key business partners * Lead the team developing talent and skills, ensuring capability and succession planning in the AP department, and building relationships throughout the organization for maximum output from the team. * Effectively communicate with senior leadership and provide meaningful insights regarding shrink results that demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the business * Manage all elements of cost control for the enterprise AP team, offering support in reducing and controlling costs *Required Qualifications* * 12+ years of asset protection and operations experience * 8+ years in an executive leadership role * Experienced proven and engaging leader with a critical strategic and operational mindset that has deep operational knowledge of retail store and non-retail functions that could adversely impact profitability across our entire Retail footprint – both in our most complex and challenging markets, as well as lower volume stores that have a different support structure. * Have an acute awareness of the drivers of shrink, how those change based on different store types and support structures, and most importantly how to mitigate them, through extensive strategic and operational experience. * Deep creative, critical thinking skills to ensure the broader team is focused on the highest priorities on how to improve shrink performance among Front Store, Pharmacy, and Non-Retail businesses. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to convey information in an accessible, concise, and clear manner. * Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder client environment. * Highly collaborative and communicative collaborator with experience working in fast-paced, multi-functional team environments. * Experience managing change and in developing and maintaining excellent relations with executives, customers, operations, and staff at all levels. * Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision, with proven analytical and critical thinking skills. * Approaches challenges with a sense of urgency, ability to work well under pressure and take direction. * WAH (Work at Home) - Anywhere in the US * Travel - Up to 60% *Preferred Qualifications* * Retail / Pharmacy experience * Manage $500M Shrink Budget *The typical pay range for this role is:* $275,000.00 - $330,000.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.    In addition to your compensation, enjoy the rewards of an organization that puts our heart into caring for our colleagues and our communities.  The Company offers a full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits.  Eligible employees may enroll in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan is also available for eligible employees.  The Company provides a fully-paid term life insurance plan to eligible employees, and short-term and long term disability benefits.
