Description
The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare Systems (CAVHS) is seeking a full time Physician (Rheumatologist) Position. The Rheumatologist will diagnosis and manage rheumatologic illnesses including but not limited to metabolic diseases of the bone, osteoporosis, polymyositis, rheumatoid arthritis, crystal-induced arthropathies, scleroderma/systemic sclerosis, vasculitis. The Rheumatologist will perform and/or interpret boing and joint imaging, synovial fluid aspiration, and joint injections. The Rheumatologist will address Rheumatology inpatient and outpatient consults and performing electronic chart reviews and provide e-consultations. The Rheumatologist will also be responsible for trainee education at CAVHS for Rheumatology fellows and rotating medical residents in the clinics.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, with some evenings and weekend call.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (*will consider non- citizen candidates*)
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- Certified/Board Eligible. (Preferred)
- Experience as a Staff Rheumatologist for an academically affiliated facility. (Preferred)
- Demonstrated interest in clinical research and teaching. (Preferred)
