The Eastern Oklahoma VA Healthcare System (EOVAHCS) is seeking a Sleep Medicine Physician to serve as our Nation's Hero's at the Earnest Childers VA Center in Tulsa, OK. Our ideal candidate will enjoy a busy, clinical practice and be dual board certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family practice. Must be board-certified in Sleep Medicine.

The Staff Physicians may have teaching opportunities due to our association with Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OSUCOM) and the Oklahoma University of Oklahoma College of Medicine (OUCOM) program. Qualified applicants will have an MD/DO, current medical license, and be board-certified in Sleep Medicine or board eligible.

This is an outpatient and telemedicine clinic that will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide non-surgical therapy to patients with sleep disorders, including the provision of consultation. The Sleep medicine physician functions under the Chief of Specialty Medicine, and the Chief of Staff. Compliance with all healthcare system policies, rules, regulations, and by-laws is expected. The program partners with numerous subspecialists, including ENT, Dentistry, Psychology, Mental Health, Surgery, Pulmonary, Medicine, and Primary Care.

The physician will be completing home sleep testing. There is a sleep lab in the community. An opportunity may be available to launch a sleep lab for Eastern Oklahoma VA. Academic affiliation and clinical research may be possible.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, (telework eligible, this is not a remote position). No call coverage.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
  • Board Certification in Sleep Medicine. Board Eligibility may also be considered. Must have additional board certification in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, or Family Practice.
