Discovery Management Group is looking for a Director of Sales to join our community, Discovery Village at Naples – Independent Living, a Discovery Senior Living family of companies.

At Discovery Village at Naples, we're seeking a results-driven Director of Sales (DOS) to lead our sales efforts and help seniors discover a lifestyle they'll love. In this high-impact role, you'll guide prospective residents and their families through the decision-making process, inspire confidence, and help them make the move into our community. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, strategic planner, and collaborative partner—all while driving occupancy, net revenue, and community growth.
Your Role: Director of Sales
As the DOS, you'll own the sales function and oversee all aspects of the move-in process—from initial contact through conversion and successful transition. You'll track leads, create and execute local outreach strategies, manage internal reporting, and maintain deep awareness of your competitive market. Your ability to combine operational discipline with heart-centered service will make you a valuable part of our leadership team.
This position offers a base of $65k plus commission.
What You'll Do:
Sales Leadership & Lead Conversion
- Engage and convert leads through multiple channels including advertising, referrals, PR, events, and direct outreach
- Use our proven sales process to advance leads through discovery, overcome objections, and close with confidence
- Manage all lead tracking, sales activities, and conversion metrics through our CRM system
- Provide daily sales updates and participate in weekly strategy sessions with the Executive Director
- Partner with the ED and marketing teams to develop and refine community-specific marketing tactics
- Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure the tour path and model units are presentation-ready
- Plan and execute local events to build awareness and generate leads
- Pull and analyze sales reports related to move-ins, conversions, lead sources, and success metrics
Market Awareness & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct quarterly competitive market research and maintain detailed records using analysis tools
- Stay informed on new and upcoming communities, changes in market demand, and pricing trends
- Provide insight into competitive opportunities and threats, recommending strategic responses to leadership
- Develop and maintain a general market analysis and referral tracking strategy
Revenue Optimization
- Meet or exceed monthly occupancy and net revenue goals
- Recommend and execute revenue-driving tactics including pricing adjustments, incentives, and inventory control
- Use data-driven decision-making to influence sales strategy and improve community NOI
External Business Development
- Build and maintain a strong network of non-paid referral sources to support ongoing lead generation
- Plan and lead monthly presentations to professional contacts and referral partners
- Host monthly referral strategy meetings with the ED and other community leaders
- Track all networking and referral activities in the CRM for visibility and accountability
Resident Move-In Coordination
- Guide residents and families through the move-in packet and ensure a seamless transition
- Coordinate assessments with clinical teams and ensure all pre-move documentation is completed
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure administrative and regulatory readiness prior to lease signing
Team Leadership & Development
- Participate actively in community leadership meetings and functions
- Represent the community with professionalism, passion, and integrity
- Stay current on industry trends and participate in ongoing professional development
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or related field preferred
- At least 2 years of sales experience in a senior living or related healthcare setting required
- Proven ability to manage leads, CRM systems, and track key sales metrics
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
