Job Details

This role manages the design, execution, and administration of the Dollar General Employee Benefits Program

 

  • Supports Benefits leadership team in developing strategy, plan design and cost containment programs to optimize value for Dollar General and its employees, including researching market trends, emerging programs/vendors, and evidence-based best practices
  • Responsible for overseeing vendor and consultant relationships, including vendor procurement/RFPs, vendor selection, rate negotiation, contract negotiation, monitoring ongoing vendor performance, service level commitments and ROI reports.
  • Coordinates the clinical integration of the Dollar General Health Plan, identifying opportunities and new initiatives to support members' total well-being.
  • Supports program administration, communication, compliance, and corporate governance
  • Supports company/department initiatives, including annual enrollment, program implementation, system testing, etc.


Qualifications

  •  Experience in US benefits administration, including the governance and design of self-insured medical plans, population health management and brokered insurance arrangements for a large employer
  •  Extensive knowledge of employers' requirements under ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, Section 125 of the IRS code and state laws
  •  Strong contract negotiation skills
  •  Well-developed leadership, consulting, and presentation skills; ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds across all levels of the organization
  •  Strong organization skills with ability to work independently, prioritize and deliver in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrates DG values, and demonstrates executive presence

 

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (business or health-related field) preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant benefits experience, including strategic planning and people leadership
  • Experience in clinical or health management preferred
