That's Nice, But What's the Job?
In short, the Transportation Services, Team Lead is responsible for managing department overflow and provide support for team members markets as needed. The Team Lead will aid in building and managing our team's vendor network by onboarding new vendors and connecting with vendors to discuss carrier performance. In addition, the Team Lead will aid the Leadership team in identifying areas of opportunity for the team and/or individual Logistics. This will be accomplished through auditing, coaching, and mentoring team members in best practices, negotiation skills, and vendor accountability.
In long, our Transportation Services, Team Lead is responsible for:
Carrier onboarding: Responsible for onboarding new carriers to our network. Team members must have Vendor Management Certification.
Vendor Performance Meetings: Hold meetings with carriers to discuss performance, areas of opportunity, and feedback from team.
Distro Adherence Validation: Verify team has completed distro for the day. Identify and research any region below 70% distro adherence. If opportunities are identified connect with LS to discuss opportunities, provide coaching feedback, and provide best practice.
Aged Allocations Audit: Audit Aged Allocations report to identify regions with high number of aged units. Partner with LS to identify cause and solution/s to reduce aged allocations.
In-Transit Waiting Inspection Review: Help Logistics Manager complete daily review of RC's IT Waiting Inspection numbers. Identify RC's with low waiting inspection and connect with LS. Partner with LS to identify aging opportunities, opportunities to expedite deliveries, and provide delivery forecast to RC partners.
IT Report Auditing and Coaching: Help Logistics Manager complete weekly IT report audits for Logistics Team Lead. Provide feedback to specialists on opportunities identified.
Aging Report Auditing and Coaching: Help Logistics Manager complete weekly Aging Report audits for Logistics Specialist. Provide feedback to specialists on opportunities identified.
Provide Logistics Specialist feedback and coaching on other opportunities identified, help specialists through one off scenarios, and provide best practices to succeed in Logistics Specialist role.

The Specifics - What do you need?
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
