The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Nutrition and Duke University Medical Center seek a BE/BC Endocrinologist with expertise in Endocrine Neoplasia to join their growing faculty.
This will be a leadership position to help build and run the Endocrine Neoplasia Program within the Duke Cancer Institute. In addition to Endocrinology, the Endocrine Neoplasia Program includes 4 endocrine surgeons, a dedicated medical oncologist and additional APP and nursing support who treat between 1200-1500 patients annually with nodular thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, parathyroid disease and other endocrine tumors. Candidates must have significant experience with thyroid ultrasound and fine needle aspiration biopsy. Academic rank will be determined based on individual qualifications. It is anticipated that this position will consist of clinical activities and protected research time based on candidates qualifications. There are ample opportunities for career advancement including clinical, translational and basic science research with a large research community for collaborative efforts. The candidate will be expected to participate fully in the activities of the Division and Department, including clinical care, research, and teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and ancillary staff.
