Description

ECIAC, a democratic physician owned Emergency Medicine group, seeks a highly motivated PA for full time employment in our emergency department working alongside a number of residency trained EM physicians and experienced APPs.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year EM or critical care experience strongly preferred. (New graduates of superb clinical skill that come highly recommended MAY be considered)

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Successful completion of national certification
  • Current licensure in the State of Iowa as a Physician Assistant
  • Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain St. Luke's Hospital medical staff privileges
  • Ability to work in a busy team environment

Description:

UnityPoint St. Luke's Hospital is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area's clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Emergency Department team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.

St. Luke's Emergency Department:

  • Annual Volume: 55,000
  • Level III trauma center
  • Number of ED Beds: 34 rooms, 4 behavioral health beds and 4 trauma beds 4. Physician Coverage: 41 hrs per day
  • PA: 31 hrs per day
  • Shifts 7a-3p, 8a-5p, 4p-12a, 11p-6a
  • Teaching in our ED by our qualified staff: PA students, physician residents, medical students, pharmacy students
  • EMR: EPIC
