Salary Rate: $130,000-$140,000 DOE
Remote Position open to candidates on the East Coast/Central time zones.
The Director of Human Resources Operations leads the operational backbone of Eckerd Connects' HR function, ensuring the seamless delivery of people services across all programs and affiliates. This position is responsible for modernizing, integrating, and optimizing HR systems, processes, and compliance frameworks to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
Operational & People Leadership
- Lead and execute HR operational strategies that support Eckerd's mission and workforce goals.
- Oversee HR shared services, ensuring consistent and timely delivery of transactional HR processes (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, credentialing, data management).
- Serve as the HR functional lead for technology platforms, partnering with IT and vendors to optimize configuration, reporting, and system adoption.
- Partner with the VP of HR to design and implement enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives, leveraging automation and data to reduce cycle times and operational risk.
- Supervise the HR Operations team, including HRBPs, Talent Acquisition Partners, HR Compliance Specialists, and HRIS Data Analysts.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the HR Operations team.
- Partner with HRBPs and Talent Acquisition to ensure aligned and efficient service delivery across the employee lifecycle.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with federal and state labor laws, DOL, and federal contractor obligations (EEO-1, VETS-4212, OFCCP, etc.).
- Oversee I-9, credentialing, and personnel file audits to maintain organizational and funding compliance.
- Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure contract performance and quality assurance.
- Serve as a primary point of escalation for audits, employee record disputes, and data integrity reviews.
Process Optimization & Data Analytics Reporting
- Manage HR operations and processes through automation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process re-engineering to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and IT to align HR workflows with organizational systems and reporting requirements.
- Lead documentation and training for HR process consistency and compliance.
- Partner with HRIS Data Analyst/outsourced vendor to build and maintain HR metrics dashboard to track and identify workforce trends.
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations to enhance retention, compliance, and employee engagement and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution; PHR and/or SHRM-CP highly preferred.
- 6-8 years of progressive HR experience, including the last 3 years in HR operations leadership required; experience in a non-profit/federally funded environment preferred.
- Deep understanding of HR operational processes, employment law, and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to turn data into insights; High proficiency with HR technology.
- Appropriate and valid state driver's license and ability to meet Eckerd Connects' auto insurance guidelines. Must be able to travel occasionally and overnight to program locations as required. Travel 15-20% as necessary.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
