We are looking for a Project Specialist - Intern to join our team!

 

Preferred location:  Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid)

What you'll do at Elekta:

This role will report directly to Senior Regional Readiness Manager for OIS SW and will support business line operations and special projects that involve/impact cross functional teams.  This role will require good project management, communication skills, well-organized and be detailed oriented.  As a Project Specialist Intern, you will support and drive improvements to increase the software project delivery knowledge, capacity, and quality, in cooperation with cross functional teams.

The activities include:

  • Project planning, alignment and execution

  • Dates, duration and milestone management

  • Meeting facilitation, agenda creation, maintaining action items logs and risk mitigation plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and Managing Project Tasks and Deliverables:

  • Work closely with various departments to ensure all aspects of a project are aligned.

  • Serve as the point of contact for project-related communication.

  • Developing Comprehensive Project Plans and Timelines:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and tasks.

  • Create detailed project plans that outline milestones and deadlines.

  • Communicating Project Objectives and Expectations:

  • Clearly convey project goals to team members and stakeholders.

  • Ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.

  • Tracking Project Performance and Making Necessary Adjustments:

  • Monitor project progress against established timelines.

    Identify any deviations and take corrective actions.

  • Assisting in the Identification and Management of Project Risks and Issues:

  • Proactively address potential risks and issues.

    Collaborate with relevant teams to mitigate challenges.

  • Preparing and Delivering Project Updates and Progress Reports:

  • Keep stakeholders informed about project status.

    Present updates in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

As a project specialist, we are looking for candidates that are not only passionate about driving successful software implementations but also possess the following:

  • Excellent time management, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Self-motivated and flexible

  • Experience in MS Office, Smartsheets, Monday.com and other applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders and customers.
