Description


Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with month-end closings, including calculation and posting of various journal entries relating to accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, accrued expenses, as assigned.
  • Analysis of various GL accounts to ensure accuracy of month-end balances
  • Ensure accurate coding and balancing of expense payments through T&E system
  • Support in preparation and review of various sales and use tax filings
  • Support in preparation and review of vendor rebate filings and reconciliations
  • Prepare cycle counting summaries
  • Ensure accurate balancing of intercompany receivables and payables
  • Back up accounts receivable associate when needed
  • Back up accounts payable associate when needed
  • Monitor COD account payments and ensure accurate postings
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures, including internal controls

Ad hoc analyses and special projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in general accounting
  • Associates degree or equivelent experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures that is reflective of distribution sector preferred
  • Experience with ERP automated accounting systems (Accounts Payable 3-way match, EDI transaction processing and high-volume processing).
