Job Summary:

Responsible for strengthening the EH relationships with surrounding physician groups by delivering EH IT solutions while developing strong customer relationships.  This includes interfacing with physician offices, installing complex software, providing ongoing training to key customers, and assessing current IT office solutions for viability.

 

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm 

Location: Englewood, NJ

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support assigned EHPN locations in designated geographic region. 
  2. Participate in the onboarding of new EHPN practices which includes:
    • Testing new data circuits.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for ordering, configuring, and installing new hardware.
    • Installation of new networking equipment.
    • Provide day to day support and life cycle management.
    • Assist with projects and break-fix at other sites outside of assigned region as needed.
    • Collaborate with other teams, primarily within EH IT, to complete project objectives to support all practices.
    • Complete quarterly site visits assignments including:
      • Inventory and test downtime preparedness.
      • Track needs for damaged/defective equipment replacement.
      • Communicate with site managers on upcoming infrastructure changes.
      • IT Data Closet administration including modems, firewalls, switches, cable management, proper ventilation, battery backup and security.
  3. Hardware/Software Support.
    • Works with end users to configure, support and educate them in the use of personal computers and other peripherals.
    • Supports all versions of Windows and Microsoft Office and other PC based applications.
    • Contribute to development of procedures to support Windows operating systems and standard corporate hardware.
    • Works with anti-virus programs, memory management and other diagnostic utilities to optimize PC performance.
    • Works with IT personnel and end users to resolve issues relating to various institutional applications including, but not limited to, healthcare, financial and Internet.
    • Works with printers, scanners, signature pads, mobile devices, faxes, DVD-ROMs, hard drives, memory, network interface cards, etc.
    • Maintains inventory of hardware and spare components.
    • Project management work as delegated by IT Management.
  4. Purchasing/consulting/setting standards.
    • Coordinates the purchase and installation for PC hardware/software applications.
    • Consults with end users and identify needs.
    • Evaluates new products as required.
    • Contribute to development of standards for all PC related activities with other IT personnel.
  5. Aids in problem identification and resolution of daily production problems in a timely manner as defined by department Policy and analyzes production problems, takes appropriate correction action, and follows up on problems to ensure resolution.
  6. Accountable for remote support of all physician offices that are associated with Englewood Health.
  7. Participate in On-Call rotations including weekends and holidays.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience with desktop applications, including MS Office and SharePoint O365.
  • Stay current on technology topics and pursues opportunities to expand knowledge.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, problem solver.
  • 2+ years of experience providing IT support in a hospital or healthcare environment
  • 2+ years of experience with desktop imaging solutions
  • 2+ years of project management, system implementation and support
  • 2+ years' experience working with anti-virus programs, memory management and other diagnostic utilities.
  • 2+ years of experience with application deployment
  • 2+ years hands-on experience working with computers, laptops, printers, scanners, signature pads, mobile devices, faxes and other IT hardware.
  • 2+ years of experience with Wyse clients, Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop applications.
  • 2+ years' experience working with Android and IOS.
  • 2+ years' experience working with Desktop Management solution e.g., Ivanti, SCCM.
  • 2+ years' experience working with Asset management solution e.g., Ivanti, ServiceFocus
  • 2+ years' experience working with A/V equipment e.g. Crestron, Advantech, Shure
  • Networking, TCP/IP experiences a plus.
  • Experience supporting EMR applications is preferred
  • Zoom knowledge/experience is a plus
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, initiate, document, troubleshoot, and organize.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.  Position requires ability to interact with all levels of hospital staff, vendors, consultants, etc.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and potential risk exposer for failure to comply.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Works primarily in remote locations; i.e., end user and off site facilities.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of equipment.
  • 70% travel is required.
