Job Summary:
Under general supervision, and according to well defined policies and procedures, the MA/MR assists in the delivery of primary health and patient care management, interviews patients and/or patients' representatives to obtain necessary personal, demographic, and financial information and identification. Performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to the patients' registration within the registration areas. This position assists with flow of patients from the waiting area to exam rooms and perform preparatory work on patients to ensure efficient use of the physician's time. Experience with medical terminology and practice management systems preferred.

Job Essentials:
- Prepare exam rooms, take patient histories and vitals, assist with minor procedures, perform phlebotomy/EKG as ordered, and distribute necessary screening/history forms.

Greet and assist patients/visitors in person and by phone, manage inquiries, relay messages, maintain courteous communication, and uphold confidentiality and service excellence standards.

Verify insurance eligibility, remind patients of appointments, register and check in patients, prepare visit documents, manage late arrivals, and maintain an orderly waiting room.

Maintain accurate patient files, demographics, insurance details, financial records, and scan required documents/forms into the appropriate imaging systems.

Retrieve voicemails/faxes, provide general policy information, collect payments or refer to credit representatives, attend meetings, participate in quality assurance and professional development, and perform additional duties to support patient care.
Requirements:

Bilingual Korean/English

High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of MA/PCT experience; completion of an accredited MA/PCT program preferred.

CPR preferred; CMA/RMA/PCT certification required for administering injections and handling medication documentation.

Strong understanding of medical practice, exam/treatment procedures, equipment use, safety precautions, vital signs, and assisting with treatments.

Proficient in maintaining medical records, documenting test results, using computer systems, and applying healthcare administration principles.

Strong communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making, prioritization, and teamwork skills; able to analyze information, resolve issues, and work effectively with patients, staff, and the public.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources. Minimum rate: $17.00 per hour
