
Description
The Tax Analyst in the Ad Valorem tax group is responsible for contributing to the development of tax strategies to help minimize the property tax liability for the company; keeping apprised of current assessment practices and monitoring legislation that could affect the company. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares assigned tax returns.
- Processing tax appraisal notices.
- Maintains property tax database.
- Gathers fixed asset data and planning strategies for minimization of property tax expense.
- Will also be required to interact with other departments within the Company.
- Travel flexibility is required.
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance or Accounting is required.
- A minimum of 0-5 years of experience in the property tax industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing, are required.
- Strong analytical and research skills are required.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and database applications is required.
- A strong willingness to participate in a high energy team environment is preferred.
- Strong negotiating skills is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 5% of the time is required.
