JOB OVERVIEW:
The Insurance Claims Associate role is a great opportunity to get one's foot in the door to a career in the insurance industry! This entry-level position primarily handles administrative tasks and assists claims adjusters with day-to-day tasks in claims management, payments, and reimbursements. This role is heavily customer service focused and requires high attention to detail and tasks.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Curiosity and an eagerness to learn! Insurance industry experience is nice to have but not required. The team can teach the important aspects of the industry, but ideal candidates must seek to always learn and absorb new information.
- Candidates with strong, professional customer service & communication skills – both written and verbal. Ideal candidates can successfully pivot between providing detailed and accurate written communication, as well as picking up the phone and having a detailed verbal conversation.
- High attention to detail, and the ability to learn and understand software systems quickly.
- Candidates who adapt well to priority changes, deadlines, and can multi-task and manage projects well.
- Positive and outgoing disposition, eager to work as a team but also functions well working independently.
LOCATION: In-Office - 5 days a week in our Carmel, IN office
TEMPORARY: This is a temporary role through the end of 2025, hours are full-time Monday thru Friday, 8am - 4pm EST
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):
• Receive daily mail for assigned accounts and open and scan mail to appropriate team members or department.
• Prepare and process payments received via manual checks in claims system.
• Route payment information to Accounting department.
• Process Social Security and Disability reimbursements for remittance to assigned accounts.
• Answers phone calls and transfer to an appropriate team member or department.
• Assists Claims Adjuster with their processing duties.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer Service Orientation
- Ability to speak and write professionally
- REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent
COMPENSATION:
The national average hourly rate for this role is $24.00 - $27.00 per hour in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
